Welcome

On behalf of the Catholic faith community at St. Florian Parish in United, PA, I welcome you to our website.

As the pastor here, I am pleased to say that this is a very special place because of the wonderful people who are so willing to help in every way, both within out parish and in the community. Whether it is helping the needy or just helping out where it is needed, St. Florian parishioners excel.

All that we do here is rooted in the faith of the church and has the Eucharist as its source and summit. I am especially pleased that we have 24 hours of continuous Eucharistic Adoration once a week. The constant theme of every Eucharistic liturgy is that we are to join in Jesus’ saving sacrifice of love by learning to offer ourselves to Him and with Him for the salvation of the world, beginning with family and friends. Our evangelization efforts ultimately are an invitation for others to join in this.

Here at St. Florian, the task of passing on the faith to the next generation, and engaging its members in the life of the church is also a priority.

In all matters, we look to our Blessed Mother daily for her unique heavenly aid.

Please stop by sometime. Consider advancing the mission of the church with us.

Sincerely in Christ,
Father John Sedlak
