 DIOCESAN LENTEN APPEAL
A letter and pledge card will be mailed on Tuesday of this week to each family. Please prayerfully consider the gift you will give to further the work of Christ in our Parish and Diocese. No gift is too small. The Parish target is $23,812.00. Once this target is met, all gifts will be returned, 100% to the parish. A goal of $33,000.00 has been set. When the Diocesan target is met, $9,188.00 will be refunded to help the Parish meet all ordinary expenses. It is essential to the Parish that this refund be received. Be good Stewards of the gifts God has given you and return to Him the first fruits of those gifts.  HOLY NAME SOCIETY
Will meet Sunday, March 11th at 6:00 PM Christians Uniting--Senior Dinner
A free dinner for individuals 65 and older will be served as a way of honoring and saying "Thank you" for your service in our churches and community. The catered meal from Post Avenue includes: Chicken Breast, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Tossed Salad and dressing, Rolls, butter, cake, iced tea, regular and decaf coffee. The dinner takes place at St. Florian Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 25 beginning at 5:00 P.M. (Please note: doors will open at 4:30). Entertainment will follow the meal. RSVP is required to Mrs. Maggie Forbes Š 724-423-5823. Maximum capacity is 150 so donÕt delay in making your reservation. ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS ANNOUNCED
The Agnes Rusinko Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to selected students who are active members of St. Florian and are continuing their education. The scholarship was established by Mrs. Rusinko's family to honor their mother, who during her life- time developed a love of reading and writing while attending a one-room schoolhouse that is still standing in the small town of Mutual. The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County administers the scholarship fund on behalf of the family. Stop by the office for an application which must be completed and submitted to the parish office by 2:00 PM on March 29, 2012. YOUTH...Mark your calendars!!!
Steve Agrosiano is coming to the Diocese of Greensburg! He will be in our diocese for the Junior High Faith Night on April 21 and the Diocesan Youth Celebration on April 22. You won't want to miss it! COVERED DISH LUNCHEON
Catholic Daughters, Court St. Florian, will resume meeting on Tuesday, March 13, at NOON. All are asked to bring a covered dish to share. ST. VINCENT de PAUL Clothing Collection Remember to place your no-longer-needed clothing in the bin located in our parking lot. NCYC 2013 COUNTDOWN!! Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours! will be November 21 to 23, 2013, in Indianapolis. This three-day event brings young Catholics from across the country together in celebration of our faith. This past year we were blessed to send 7 youth and 2 adults on this journey of faith and planning is now underway for our next pilgrimage. All youth currently in grades 7 thru 10 will be eligible to attend.
